If you’re new to security and not sure what comes first—start here. The 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training is your very first step toward getting licensed in New York State. We break it down so it makes sense. No guesswork. No confusion. Just clear steps and real support to help you kick off your security career with confidence. By the end of this one-day course, you’ll know: What it actually means to be a security guard The rules and responsibilities you’re expected to know How to complete your license application and get your fingerprints done We make it simple. We make it make sense. And most of all—we make sure you don’t feel like you're doing it alone.

Cancellation Policy
At JMI Security Services, we are committed to fairness and transparency in all of our student transactions. Our refund policy is as follows: 100% Refund: Students are entitled to a full (100%) refund if the request is made prior to the start of instruction. Courses Divided into Two Days: If a course spans two days, a 50% refund will be granted if requested before the start of the second day. Courses Divided into Four Sessions: Refunds will be issued on a decreasing scale based on attendance: 75% refund if requested before the start of the second session 50% refund if requested before the start of the third session 25% refund if requested before the start of the fourth session Please note: No refunds will be issued once a course has been fully completed. As per state regulations, security guard training schools are not permitted to charge non-refundable fees or deposits. All payments must be fully refundable based on the terms outlined above.
